Nigel is married to Vanessa who is a laundry manager at a local care home for the elderly and they have two grown up children, Daniel a senior graphic designer, who designed this website, and Donna who is a carer at the same care home as Vanessa.
After 42 years in the financial services industry, Nigel sold his financial adviser business with St. James’s Place Wealth Management on 14th February 2020. Whilst celebrating with Vanessa in Paris, he had time to think about what he should do next. The idea behind the GPS Network\SME Business Support Services ‘online’ Directory came about after Nigel’s daughter-in-law, Jasmine Wicks-Stephens, had left an employed role as a public relations and marketing executive to set up her own cosmetics PR and marketing business the ‘Known’ Business Community and her own brand of facial skincare products. Jasmine recently appeared on the BBC 1, TV program ‘Dragon’s Den’. Jasmine in the early days of 2020 was asking Nigel to recommend and introduce her to business support professionals such as accountants, lawyers, financial advisers and trademark attornies. Latterly she has been introduced to stock financing and invoice financing consultants.
Nigel recognised SME business owners such as Jasmine would benefit from access to an online SME Business Support Services Directory of trusted, like-minded, experienced professionals who collaborate to help businesses from start-up, then scale-up and finally sell or exit their businesses and get the best value for their businesses by being’ Sale Ready’ at least 2 years before their planned retirement and exit from the business,Nigel. also recognised that all SME business owners have 3 core needs i.e. to GROW their businesses, PROTECT their business assets and liabilities and their families and to make SAVINGS (increase profits), wherever and whenever possible.
Enabling Environmental and Social Responsibility to build ethical and caring businesses are the four key pillars for SME businesses.

Include a personalised letter (not a compliment slip), but a ‘contactless’ black, platinum or gold plastic or metal business card e.g. a (''V1CE' Card) with your contact details pre-loaded , which they can use for making referrals to you. Most importantly include a peronalised message e.g. referring to their favourite football team, make of car, holiday destination etc. showing that you listen and care. The message should include in your own words/style - THANKING THEM FOR MAKING THE RIGHT CHOICE BY PURCHASING YOUR PRODUCTS OR SERVICES AND ANY REMIND THEM OF ANY PRODUCT OR SERVICE GUARANTEES OR AFTER ‘PURCHASE’ SERVICES THEY HAVE ALSO CHOSEN (as you have explained, in simple terms, that a 6-year old child will understand) AND THAT YOU ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO HELPING THEM MAKE MORE BEST CHOICES IN THE FUTURE.
